Parisian holiday –By the river Seine
It was my concluding day in Paris , had a few places in my
mind which were not touched yet. We started from Sacre Coeur Basilica , a white
church on the hill of Montmartre . This area is more like a village and all
artists and poets used to live here before. This is more on the artistic side
of Paris and taking a stroll in this area gives one a feeling of the good old
days. From here we went back to Trocadero to bid adieu to our favourite Eiffel
Tower. It is not possible to exit from Paris without saying her a good bye! Finally we reach Trocadero again and sit on
the lawn and take some final snaps. I have seen many beautiful destinations but
the beauty of this place, view of Eiffel Tower from Trocadero is an
unforgettable one.
After lunching we decide to stroll on the bank of river Seine.
As the weather was beautiful, we only wanted to stay outdoors and have a date
with nature. Fresh breeze, golden sun , blue and clear sky and river seine with
vessels floating on it. Vessels had huge crowd dancing away to music, bottom
floors had guests having a luxury dining experience by the seine. Youngsters to
oldies, all were by the bank to sing and dance. Dancing along the bank is a
trend in Paris. And age is not a factor here at all. The music is so overwhelming
and that you can’t stop yourself from dancing. I could see couples in their 70s
dancing to glory. Now this is city of romance.. isn’t it. Their love hasn’t aged
by the years and they are enjoying their dance in each other’s arms. What a
sight! By then I am encouraged to dance. I put my bag down and pull my husband
towards myself, grab him tight and start
dancing. It is so romantic! I haven’t danced with him in so many years after we
tied our knots and we discover this side of ours on the River Seine. Had to be
in Paris. It not called city of love just like that J.
Dance by the bank ..do not miss this amazing experience once you are in Paris.
This is one experience which is rarest of all.
In the night we were all set for our night cruise by the
river Seine. The cruise runs throughout the day but I recommend a night cruise
to see the view of the city with illumination. The Eiffel tower glitters in the
night and it is not worth missing. We get on the deck of cruiser and grab our
seats on the top floor. The view from the top is the best. You can choose to sit
downstairs which is closed if you feel cold. The guide starts narrating the
stories of the bridges and monuments that we cross during our cruise. During
the cruise you will realise that you cross each and every point of attraction of
Paris. You will also cross the old bridges with some great history behind it
and the guide will narrate it to you on your way. The view in the night is just
lovely and is not to miss once you are in Paris.
By now we were coming to the end of our cruise and with
this I knew that my Parisian trip was also coming to an end. As you say “All good
things come to an end” so did my Parisian holiday. But if it doesn’t end how
would it start again. I bid adieu to the lovely views, beautiful glittering
Eiffel Tower, lovely people around who were dancing on the bank. This is no
doubts the city of romance and we lived it here!
Wow Tanu! So romantic... best part to me was the dance by the river!!! Amazing and dreamy😱
